How We Allocate Funds

The United Way of Richmond County is committed to transparency and accountability in how we allocate the funds raised through our annual campaign. Our allocation process ensures that donations are directed to programs and agencies that have the greatest impact on our community.

Our volunteer-led allocation committee reviews applications from local nonprofit agencies and programs. They evaluate each application based on community need, program effectiveness, and financial accountability.

Funds are allocated to programs in four key areas: Youth Opportunity, Healthy Community, Community Resilience, and Financial Security. These focus areas were identified through a community needs assessment and align with United Way's priorities for Richmond County.
